“Texas right to work state policies have Texans living below the poverty line. What this means for Texas future, it means our top challenges will be education, healthcare, water and electric utility capacity, transportation needs, pay equity, economic stimulation, and immigration”. My plan is as follows:

I will actively support criminal justice reform of our jail and prison systems.

I will advocate for the STEM, HVAC, Plumbing, andEngineering Design apprenticeship programs for non-violent offenders. Those who enter into the program would earn an opportunity for early release and who enters into two-year contractual agreements with the state to be employed at the state employee rate of pay to rebuild the state's infrastructure. Upon the end of their contractual agreement, they have the option of remaining gainfully employed with state or can test the free market with their certifications. This rehabilitates the former offenders by allowing them to be gainfully employed contributing taxpayers thus reducing the risk of reoffending.
